An earlier article in this blog shares the personal letter of a long-standing and high-ranking elder written to Albert Schroeder, then a member of Watchtower’s Governing Body.[1] That article concluded by saying “Two years later he found himself further discouraged and ousted.”
Many readers wrote asking what happened to this man. Here is the story in his own words[2-3]:

Many readers wrote asking what happened to this man. Here is the story in his own words[2-3]:
The community of Jehovah’s Witnesses has men of this high caliber in its ranks. Unfortunately these are effectively ousted from their beloved community by actions of misguided and manipulated men, men who have made themselves slaves to Watchtower’s Governing Body.[4] This results in a reduction of men (and women!) within the community of Jehovah’s Witnesses who are willing and able to stand up with authority and resist face-to-face the bad acts committed by Watchtower’s Governing Body and its appointed representatives.—(Galatians 2:11)
As a community, Jehovah’s Witnesses are left to be preyed upon by the whims of Watchtower’s Governing Body while the ranks of locally respected, well-trained and selfless men and women is decimated by needless frustration and having their reputations besmirched by Watchtower’s organizational system. In the end, Watchtower’s system wears these good folks down and replaces them with unsuspecting victims-in-waiting ready to do its bidding. Unfortunately these will find the same end of disappointment and pain at the hands of Watchtower.
Watchtower is not about love. Watchtower is a publishing empire that runs on a business model, because it is a corporation in the religion business.[5-6]
