The following correspondence is a personal plea to Watchtower Governing Body member Albert Schroeder (now deceased). It intentionally sidesteps normal channels for reasons explained.
The author was, at the time, a long-time elder with extensive experience in the community of Jehovah’s Witnesses. There are several issues he raises, some directly and others indirectly. Among these are the following:
● Pent up anxiety. The man needed to clear his conscience, and he put it all out there in this personal plea asking for help[1]:
● Reluctance to voice disagreement.
● Lack of confidence in Watchtower’s established chain of communication.
● Blacklisting.
● Abuse of power.
● Post-1975 lifestyle fad.
● Pressure.
The author also expressed confidence in both the addressee and the Watchtower organization.
Two years later he found himself further discouraged and ousted.
