The Watchtower organization announced only a few weeks ago the promotion of Mark Sanderson to its top leadership tier known as Governing Body.[1]

When this organization examines potential candidates for top leadership, what is it looking for?

Prior to his promotion Mark Sanderson worked in the Watchtower organization’s Hospital Information Services Department.

Under ordinary circumstances workers involved with hospital related information are expected to be honest and candid at all times for sake of public health, if for no other reason. In the case of Mark Sanderson one would think this expectation would be all the more correct given the religious organization’s penchant for terming its message and means as “the truth”.

So when Watchtower’s top leadership looked at Mark Sanderson what did they see leading them to think him suitable and should be promoted to its ranks?

What they found and rewarded

In 2002 Sanderson was queried about deaths among Jehovah’s Witnesses due to refusing blood transfusion. He responded by saying[2]:

Mark Sanderson’s reply displayed the art of dodging potentially damning information.

Given his recent promotion, apparently such expertise is sought after by top leadership within the Watchtower organization. Watchtower's top leadership found what they were looking for, and then promoted it.

Candidly

In all candidness and honesty, what does death statistics say about Jehovah’s Witnesses suffering premature death due to the Watchtower organization’s blood doctrine?

The numbers are staggering, and reach at least into the tens-of-thousands.[3]

This is a point of fact Watchtower's top leadership takes great care not to advertise, and has so far not promoted a single insider who dared go there.
