Transfusion and Eating – no difference?

Jehovah’s Witnesses have been led to believe that transfusing blood is equivalent to eating blood by top leadership of the Watchtower organization.

For Jehovah’s Witnesses who believe everything published by the Watchtower organization, it is understandable why these hold this belief.

In public copy of the organization’s written works we find statements like this[1]:
