The next thing you know Witness husbands and wives were practically cornering congregation servants to either straighten out the husband or the wife about “pleasing” the husband and what that required. It was an epidemic of marital tension, to put it lightly.
Many of the Witness husbands didn’t even bother to read the article. They took one look at the article’s title and enough was said.
