In a letter dated May 30, 2001 Watchtower admits to one of its appointed elders that it has “not dealt with all the details” asked about impositions enforced by Watchtower’s blood doctrine.[1] Page 4 of Watchtower’s letter contains the statement:

This admission is notable for several reasons, but perhaps chief among them stems from a statement made 1 year prior and repeated 3 years later by Watchtower speaking to portions of blood Witnesses are left free to accept.[2-3] Watchtower writes:

When expressing its doctrinal position Watchtower asserts lack of details as basis to leave individual Jehovah’s Witnesses alone to make their own choices about certain blood products.

Yet when asked of other blood products that Watchtower does not leave Witnesses alone to accept or reject, Watchtower responds with lack of details.
