Info Post
___

In an earlier blog article I provided information published by Watchtower suggesting to readers that blood naturally separates into the four constituents known as plasma, red cells, white cells and platelets.[1] That information presents an instance of a suggestive teaching by Watchtower. That is, without coming right out and saying a particular thing Watchtower is nevertheless teaching folks a particular thing. This method of teaching provides a measure of plausible deniability if and when the veracity of a suggested teaching is directly challenged. In this case, if questioned specifically Watchtower officials could say they were not trying to teach that blood naturally separates into the four constituents known as plasma, red cells, white cells and platelets but, rather, that they were teaching something else.

However, in the case of how blood naturally settles out we find Watchtower’s teaching presented in overt language in personal response to a question from an individual that does not challenge that issue specifically. In reply to something else, here is what Watchtower comes right out and says:

With those words Watchtower states in overt terms what it suggests in its published literature.

So what is the problem with the above teaching by Watchtower? The teaching is patently false.

Worse, this patently false teaching is used as premise in support of a doctrinal position that affects mortality and morbidity of patients who accept it as valid.
